In recent years, governments and citizens in our world have put more care and understanding in the environmental problems we are now facing. Global Warming is the over release of carbon dioxide (greenhouse gas) that caused the green house affect, which creates global warming. By burning fossil fuel, coal, and deforestation it increase the amount of carbon dioxide that led to the temperature rise. “Compared to oxygen and nitrogen, there is only a trace of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere- now about 0.036%. But this gas, along with water vapor, is virtual for life on Earth” (Laurence, 10). Only 0.036% of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere rises the heat of the Earth. But what will happen if it becomes 1% of CO2? Global warming affects the lives of innocent species and causes ocean waves to cover low-lying islands. This is not only to harmful animals, but to humans as wells.
Coal contains high sulfur and when it is burned, it creates carbon dioxide and the sulfur contained will be released into the atmosphere. As a result, acid is created due to the combination of sulfur, oxygen and nitrogen. Global warming is a world-wide issue that has no way to be resolved, but can be prevented.
Global warming is caused by the increasing amount of CO2. To prevent this issue from being worse, I believe everyone on the earth should be involved in preventing this world-wide issue. There are several things that we could do; we could plant more trees and use solar energy instead of fossil fuel. Trees use CO2 and sunlight to make energy and by planting trees we can decrease the amount of CO2 and prevent the earth from becoming warmer.
I think your summary is really informative. It tells me a lot about what is global warming and how the earth and human beings will be in a dangerous position if global warming speeds up. What i like about this summary is that it is creative. For example, it has a lot of diagrams and pictures of what is happening to North Pole and how the greenhouse gases traps heat. It is really helpful because readers don't have to read the whole summary a lot of times but can just look at the pictures and can immediately tell how serious global warming is. Another thing I like about your summary is that it has suggestions about how to decrease the speed of global warming. However, there is a point where I'm quite interested in which you didn't mention. These points are that what are we doing to help, why is there an excessive release of carbon dioxide in the world, etc.
1. What cause Global Warming?
2.What are the effects of Global Warming?
3. How can we prevent it?
