Summary
Global warming has become the world biggest ecological problem. Global Warming have many causes that is typically by human and it has serious consequences that can destroy whole environment on the Earth. Moreover, the effects of global warming also damage people’s lives and health. Humans take big position in global warming. They can make Global Warming even inferior, but also can help to alleviate the Global warming. To make condition better, we have to understand the global warming properly and figure out what can we do for this terrible event.
Global Warming means increase of average temperature of earth and oceans since the 20th century. Global warming is affecting many parts of the world. It makes the sea rise by melting icebergs in North& South pores. When the sea ascends, the water covers many low land islands. This is a gigantic dilemma for many of the plants, animals, and people on islands. If ocean rises up like the scientists say, the Maldives and States along the U.S coast are in danger of being disappear under the water. Furthermore, Tropical diseases are spreading through world quickly due to the warm temperature of the Earth. For example, malaria is ailment that is spread by mosquitoes which lives in hot places like Amazon. These mosquitoes can’t live in cool places like Europe or North America. However, after the global warming has got worsened, more than 250 cases of Malaria reported only in New York in 2001. Besides these consequences Global Warming can cause drier soil which make thorny to farm.
So then why is global warming happening and threatening our affluent lives? Greenhouse effect is the factor that causes global warming. Carbon dioxide, Nitrous oxide, methane and ozone which are called greenhouse gases are the criminals that assist greenhouse effect. There are over 6 billion people living on Earth now. More people means more people will clear more forests, set up more farms, drive more motor vehicles, and build more industries. All these things produce greenhouse gases and increase the global warming. Forests are cleared to fulfill people’s greed. As wood decomposes or is burned for fuel, the carbons that are stored in trees will go back into the atmosphere as carbon dioxide and carbon dioxide takes 200 years to completely disappear. Also, fertilizers that farmers use to make soil more nitrous produce nitrous oxide. In addition, as the industrialization get vigorous, more greenhouse gases are forming in a year.
There are numerous things that we can do to address this environmental problem . Because people are the creatures that created this problem, the roles of humans are huge in solving the global warming. We can stop using products that need elongated term to be part of the earth again or need huge amount energy to make it. Replace normal light bulbs with energy-efficient fluorescent bulbs, planting more tress, using rechargeable batteries are also effective way to help Global warming.
We, the human can make change to make better environment for our future families and those who we love.

Your essay is very well-organized, also your sentence structures are strong as well as your vocabularies make the whole essay strong enough to persuade or even to state your opinion and research. I think you have put a lot of efforts into this summary and I see that you've been thinking carfully of choosing words and how to organize it. Also, I've gained a lot of information about the global warming which are different from what I've found! You've did a great job :-)

The action plan
Goal: Based on your research from Part 1, how do you want to have a positive impact on our environment?
According to research from Part 1, the global warming will get worse and worse unless amount of greenhouse gases are stop rising. Global warming would bring us serious consequences if it gets worse. Our earth is not just place for us to live. Earth is mother of all human beings. Humans born in earth and return to earth after they die. Also, earth is not only our property; it is also property of next generations. Thus, we have to stop global warming. To make the situation better, we should reduce the amount of greenhouse gases. Reducing green house gases are hard but it is the most positive impact on our environment that we can do.
Answer: I want make situation better and I want reduce amount of greenhouse gases in order to save earth for our next generation.
Strategies-What are some specific actions you will take to achieve this goal? - The summer is coming, if I turn air conditional less, more electricity will save which means less carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide etc... - I can turn off computer when I am not using it, saving electricity is really good way to reduce amount of green house gases. - Changing light bulbs into compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFL). CFLs are more expensive but it uses 1/4 the electricity of amount of the normal light bulbs use and last several years longer.
Things everyone can do now. lSaving electricity is one way to decrease amount of greenhouse gases. When ever we use electricity, greenhouse gases are produced. By turning off lights, the television and the computer when we are not using it, we can help a lot. lCar produces a lot of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide. Car is like greenhouse factory. We can save energy by taking the bus, riding a bike or walking instead of driving cars. lSharing information about global warming and ways to reduce the greenhouse gases are also very important and helpful. (Power of advertisement!) lPlanting tree is a great way to reduce greenhouse gases. Trees absorb carbon dioxides and produces oxygen by photosynthesis. lWhen we recycle, we sent less trash to the landfill and also saving natural resources, like trees, oil and elements such as aluminum. lOne of the ways to reduce the amount of greenhouse is to buy products that don't use as much energy. Some products – like certain cars and stereos – are made specially to save energy. By conserving energy, we help reduce climate change and make the Earth a better place. lSolar energy is a fancy way of saying "energy that comes from the sun." Solar energy can be used to heat homes, buildings, water, and to make electricity. lThere are some cars that are better for the environment. These cars can travel longer on a smaller amount of gasoline. They don't pollute as much. Using these kinds of cars can help reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in the air. lProducts with the ENERGY STAR® label are made to save energy. Buying products with ENERGY STAR® labels will help protect the environment.
Timeline-When will you do these things and how often? lNot using air conditional very often is things that I can do always, everyday. lTurning off computers when I am not using it, is also a thing that I can do everyday. lEvery time when I go to Carrefour I can walk to there instead of riding cars. Resources - What will you need (if anything) to put these strategies into effect? lFaith lPositive attitude lDetermination Results - How will you known when you've made a difference? lWhen I did everything that I can do lWhen I see people who have changed their opinions about global warming because of me lWhen I see that our house’s electric charges are reduced. Analysis of ‘Be the Change Project’ Min Jee Kim
For the presentation, we had to present topics that we recently researched about environment in order to persuade the classmates. There were many technical devices that we could use to present effectively. For example, wiki space, PowerPoint, picture story and the camera. Because I already have written summaries on the wiki, using wiki space to present felt easier and attracted me. However I felt like it would not be affective as any other devices. Moreover, any other devices were things that I have not used before so it was difficult to access. Thus, I chose PowerPoint to present my topic easily yet successfully. There are many advantages of using PowerPoint to present something. Firstly, it is very visual so it can grab people’s attention. Global warming is such a broad and serious topic; it is easy to be tedious and complicated. Visualizing image, diagrams and graphs about global warming may reduce some dangers of being bored. Furthermore, visualizing some of the consequence of global warming will shock the audiences and will help the audience to feel closer to the topic. Secondly it is very brief, meaning that it would not take long time to make. In my opinion, taking too much time on making something to present is waste of time; spending time to arrange for the speech instead of making the PowerPoint is better use of time. Because I wanted to persuade our classmates in short time, the advantages of the PowerPoint were suitable for me. I did good job on relating audiences to the topic so they can be more motivated. Moreover, it was not too long nor short which prevented audience to be uninterested. On the other hand, just relating ourselves to the topic was not efficient as I was imagined. I should have put more diagrams/music to send the message more efficiently. Overall, I am satisfied with my work and I think I will do better next time.
